Bartering Makes You Money


“I can’t afford to trade”



Are you sure you can’t afford to trade? 

Just what costs do you think you will incur by trading?

●No joining monthly or annual fee
●If you purchase an item, you may have to pay shipping costs
●When you sell an item, it is usually at full market value. 
●The usual transaction fee is 6% cash.
● Now you have a product or service that is not selling readily for cash, so you discount it    
   hoping it will sell.  Do you start at 10% off?  How far do you discount?  Up to 50%?

Doesn’t that make the transaction fee seem attractive?

If you are a professional, you have incurred office overhead, advertising and preparation expense.  You paid for all this with U.S. Dollars.

What if you could call a barter broker and ask him/her if you could use your Barter Dollars for the following items:

●Advertising
●Printing Costs
●Packaging
●Delivery costs

You’ve saved your U.S. Dollars.

You’ve used your Barter Dollars that were earned at the full market price of your product.

Through barter you recover your cost of goods sold and still make your regular profit.

How To Get Trade Dollars

“What if I don’t get any trade dollars?

The trade economy is just like the cash economy. You must have a product that someone is willing and able to purchase. The sale of goods and services is determined by the demand.
Since the sale of goods and services is determined by the demand, it is important to keep in mind that your product or service is “saleable”.

BUSINESSES:

Are you a small business owner?
Do you have extra product on your shelf?
Is it time to mark it down to move it out of your inventory?
Are you offering a service with unbilled hours?
STOP!

Did you know that you can list your merchandise on a trade exchange for full retail value?
Did you know that your product/merchandise could be viewed by as many as 25,000 members?
Would you like to save cash?
Would you like to make more profit?
Let’s say that you are a small antique dealer and you have had some items in your shop for too long.
Instead of marking it down, you could list it on a trade exchange for the full price plus shipping and get huge exposure at the same time. You will earn barter dollars to spend on something else that you would have paid cash for. Voila, you have more cash in your pocket, as you kept your profit margin and secondly, you used barter dollars to buy what you want.
We call it WIN WIN

Another great example is a beautician or barber. These businesses could easily barter some of the empty time slots in their appointment books.
How about Hotels? Do they have a full house every night? That’s how lower rates are obtained by listing vacancies with Expedia or other online venues. With Barter, your vacancies need not be discounted. You get your full rate.

Although a trade exchange is designed to service business, professional and non-profit groups, it can, on occasion, be beneficial for individuals.
Ever heard the saying “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”?
Now here’s an interesting thought.
How many of us have a library of books we’ve already read?
Do we want to sell them at half or three-quarters the cost on Ebay?
How about those garage sales we do every year? Are there some great items that you have to almost give away? Why not get barter dollars for them?
The same is true of music, movies, equipment in good condition with the manuals, etc.
It’s just like building a savings account without having to deal with all the trouble of holding a garage sale.
How about renting out that cottage that you only use two weeks out of the year?
So, let’s get with it…..take out those good unwanted items, take a picture, write a description and post it. You are on your way to putting barter dollars in your bank.

Before you start in barter it is extremely important to create a spend-down list of goods and services
that you would buy on trade. This list should be up-dated on a regular basis. A good trade exchange program today should have a list of over $1million of goods and services.
